[UNHCR] - A recent project in collaboration with @hkunhcr and @narrative.made for #worldrefugeeday as one of the murals in the #CityCanvasHK campaign. A mural piece working with @asianunited_cricketclub , symbolizing the power and courage required to break away from your past trauma and continue to move forward, located outside the office of @christian_action in ChungKing Mansions. ⁣

To be very honest I have never had much understanding in the world of refugees and problems they have been facing. It’s one of those super meaningful projects that I would like to take part in and gain a better understanding about their struggles, fleeing from your home country and residing in a completely new environment, trying their best to live and be accepted by others. The struggles and pain are real, yet not much attention has been raised. ⁣

It all comes down to the importance of empathy. Put yourself into their shoes, try to understand their cultures and struggles. Put aside the discrimination and stigmatization. Be the person who you would like to encounter at your desperate moments. ⁣

Once again thank you for inviting me to take part in such a meaningful project. :)⁣
